03.14.07 Troy Perry.com is back!

Alot of you guys have been asking me when I would update my site and I finally did it :) I decided to go with a cleaner look that I hope you will enjoy.

Wow, quite alot has changed as my last update was quite some time ago. I am now a Senior 3D Artist at Day 1 Studios in Chicago Illinois. Day 1 Studios is the reknowned developer of the MechAssualt series that was super popular for it's intense gameplay over XBox Live. Day 1 has also just recently released Fear for the XBox 360 and PS3. They are a great company with an eye for great talent and it's been very fullfilling to develop next gen games at Day 1. Right now I am working on all kinds of cool stuff for Day1's next title. I am very excited about it so I hope you will check it out.

I just recently placed amongst the winners in the Dominance War II. I earned a spot as one of the 3 best enntries for the Polycount forums. My model entry can be found here. There were a ton of great entries and the competetion was really tight. I am honored to have had my work selected amongst some of the best game res models I have seen. It was alot of hard work and I pushed the model out fast while also working towards a deadline at my job, so I am happy to know what I can pull off even when rushing something... Next Dom War I will be starting much earlier and I plan to bring it my best. I'm looking forward to it ;)

I am playing Company of Heroes on PC right now as well as Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter2 on the 360. Both games are awesome and I highly recommend both.

01.01.06 Happy New Year!

To all my friends out there, thanks alot for your tutelage, friendship and support over this last year.

After a long wait DOA 4 has finally graced my XBox 360. I gotta say its good enough to be worth the wait. I also managed to hold onto the #1 spot in Geometry Wars on XBox Live leaderboards for a a few days. Proud to say I was the first player to hit the 3 million point mark on Live in that game :)

I have a couple of new Zbrush models in the works and I'll be posting some new work soon. Stay tuned!

 
 
 

11.21.05 WELCOME!!

Well, after some long nights and some much appreciated help from friends I finally got this site up and running! I'm Troy Perry and welcome to my site. I am a 3d artist and videogame enthusiast, actually, make that a hardcore videogame enthusiast :) Right now I'm 24 hours from getting my XBox 360 and I can - not - wait! Project Gotham 3 and DOA will be owning my living room for sure.

This is the first website I've put together and I'm very excited about being able to show you my work.

I've had the fortune of working on several different types of games during my 6+ yrs in the game industry and its given me a pretty broad range of skills that I have focused primarily toward character work - though I do have an appreciation for doing environments as well. As for me personally, I am a Philadelphia native now living in Phoenix, AZ. I'm currently employed at Rainbow Studios on a soon to be announced project.
